The basic state pension serves as a subsidy for pensioners who have earned less in their working lives. Who is entitled to the money and what needs to be done for it.

The amount of the basic pension is determined individually and communicated to the beneficiaries in the pension notice. The average income during working life must have amounted to at least 30 percent and less than 80 percent of the average earnings in Germany. If the income in certain periods is less than 30 percent it per month is not included.
