Urethral cancer: Tumor can be recognized by the consistency of urine. Blood in the urine (hematuria) can be visible or invisible and can be a sign of urethral carcinoma.

Other signs may include an increased urge to urinate. This can occur if the urethra is already narrowed by the tumor and an increased amount of residual urine remains in the bladder. Urethral caruncle: A benign ulcer, about the size of a pea, turns malignant.
