Six people died in the crash of a tourist helicopter in the Mojave desert, on the border between California and Nevada. Among the victims is also the 58-year-old Herbert Wigwe, CEO of one of the largest credit institutions in Nigeria: Access Bank.

His death was confirmed on X by Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former Nigerian finance minister and now director general of the World Trade Organization. According to the American authorities, at the time of the crash there was rain and snow in the area of the accident.
