The perpetrator of the shooting is 46-year-old convicted felon AntonRucker, police in the Tennessee capital said. "This person decided to pull out a gun due to an altercation with another man and fired multiple shots," a law enforcement spokesperson was quoted as saying by Fox News.
The suspect fled in a car and is currently wanted, police said. The US media reported that one person died and six others were injured in the shooting. The incident took place during a Passover dinner at a restaurant in north Nashville.
