A tourist helicopter crashed on a beach in Hawaii, Tuesday February 27, 2024. It crashed on Honopū, a remote beach on Kauai popular with Hollywood directors looking for exotic filming locations.
On board the machine: four tourists and the pilot, all alive. One of the passengers left his cell phone running which captured the anguished moment in its entirety. More than 60 helicopter accidents have occurred in Hawaii over the past forty years. The firefighters intervened quickly after the accident, and allowed a passenger with a back injury to be evacuated to a hospital.
