How do you choose the right child seat and what do you have to pay attention to? It's not just children under 10 who need a child seat. Strict rules also apply to older children and teenagers – in short: everyone under 18 – when traveling in the car. If these rules are not followed, it can quickly become dangerous. But since children are known to grow quickly, different seats are recommended for different age groups. It is important to know that seats of the ECE R44 standard will be banned from September 2024. After that, there will only be seats that meet the other test standards. Consumers can continue to use the usual child seats that are just no longer allowed to be sold in Germany. The new seats are based on the new standard based on body size, as mentioned in the previous article.
