World happiness ranking: why young Lithuanians are smiling. People under 30 in Lithuania appear to be the happiest young people on the planet, according to a UN-sponsored report.
For the first time, the World Happiness Report, sponsored by the UN, places Lithuanians under 30 at the top of the ranking of young people happiest in the world. For Herkus Navikas, a 20-year-old Lithuanian studying in France, this number one position stems from the changes that have occurred in this Baltic country over the past thirty years.
