Benedetta Pilato won the bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke at the swimming world championships in Doha. The gold went to Lithuania's Ruta Meilutyte, silver to China's Tang.
Pilate won the gold in the 100m freestyle and the 200m individual medley. She also won the silver in the 4x100m medley and the 5x100 freestyle. Pilato was the first Italian to win a medal at the world championships.
