According to the latest Washington Post-ABC poll, in a possible challenge to the White House in 2024 Donald Trump would get 49% of the votes. For 63% he no longer has the "mental acuity" to play his role, up from 43% in 2020 and 54% a year ago. Trump isn't much younger — he would start his second term at 78 — yet most Americans (54%) believe he has the mental capacity to be president.
