An anti-ship ballistic missile was launched yesterday from a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen towards the Gulf of Aden. No damage or injuries were reported, according to the United States Central Command.
The cargo ship in question is the M/V Hope Island, flying the flag of the Marshall Islands and owned by the United Kingdom. This is the fifth missile launch detected against it by Centcom, the US note underlines. The US Central Command also claims to have destroyed yesterday a defense system consisting of two ready-to-launch missiles and a ground control station.
