Francisco Amador (36) was convicted of the femicide of Marianela Rago. The young woman studied journalism and was from Tierra del Fuego.

Amador was considered guilty of the crime of aggravated homicide for having been committed with cruelty and treachery. The judges of the Oral Criminal and Correctional Court No. 29 described Amador as having a "possessive personality, extremely jealous and with little tolerance for frustration" Marianela's mother, Patricia Zapata, "it was a fair ruling"
