Major Netzer Simchi was killed in a battle in northern Gaza today. He served as a combat officer in the 87th Battalion, the Hachhat Shamchi.
His grieving friends paid him a painful tribute on social media. Former Minister of Communications Yoaz Hendel uploaded a video from the reserves to his Facebook page in which he is seen talking to the late Simchi, with both of them in uniform. "What a heartache. A happy scion fell today," Hendel wrote.
