Rare sighting in Israel - for the first time a monk seal was seen within the borders of the country. Volunteers and inspectors of the marine unit at the Nature and Parks Authority protect it until it decides to return to the water.
Yulia's estimated age is between three and five years, and the investigators' examination shows that she is in good health and shows no signs of distress. "Maybe it's here to remind us that nature has no limits," says Raya Shurki, Director General of the Israel Nature and parks Authority.
