Interior Minister Guillermo Francos sought to tone down Mark Stanley's statements. It occurs prior to the arrival of the commander in chief of the United States Southern Command to the country.

Ambassador Stanley had expressed his concern in the last few hours in an interview with La Nación. "I don't know what the reason is or why sometimes the ambassador has these comments, I suppose that these issues are absolutely discussed and clear," added the official from Javier Milei’s cabinet.
