Rabbi Itzik Cohen lives in Ashdot Ya'akov Mauchad, a kibbutz near the border with Jordan. The area has seen an increase in infiltration attempts since the war, he says.

The presence of increased military forces reassures the residents, says Itzik. "On a personal level, I am not afraid of Jordan, because it is controlled by an organized army," he says, but some residents are afraid of the end of the Israeli-Jordanian border.
