"Voting between bullets" in Mexico: five candidates were murdered in February alone and there are already 10 throughout the year. The number of homicides related to political violence and drug trafficking rises to 36 when public officials and relatives of politicians are also considered.

Mexico celebrates the largest elections in its history on June 2, when more than 97 million people are called to renew 20,375 federal positions, including the Presidency of the Republic, the 500 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and the 128 in the Senate.
