Chief Justice Yitzhak Amit participated in the hearing for the election of the Supreme President. There was no vote on the issue at the meeting.
Commissioner Uri Shoham determined that Judge Amit's participation in the meeting is not considered a conflict of interest. Judge Amit responded to the Complaints Commissioner's claims against him, stating that the meeting did not discuss a specific appointment, but was "a discussion on the principle issue of appointing judges" Shai Glick, CEO of Betzelmo, said: "I am glad that the commissioner accepted my position in a clear way"
