Jan Böhmermann and Olli Schulz were present at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool. The Austrian radio station FM4 asked them to comment on the event in their style.
Schulz speculates that Germany is not a nation of celebrations at the ESC. The band started the race in 21st place on the grid and ended up in 26th place, which was enough for a meager 18 points.. The two present were stunned during the main round and between the awarding of points and the break.
