The definitive green light for the law on the restoration of nature has been postponed to a date to be set. The Belgian presidency of the EU Council decided today to withdraw the item without discussion at the meeting of ambassadors at Coreper.

The dossier will not be on the agenda at the EU Environment Council on Monday. The law will be published in full at a later date, the Belgian presidency said. The bill is expected to be approved by the European Court of Human Rights in May. It is expected that the bill will be presented to the European Parliament by the end of June.
