Ice cream parlors in the Tölzer Land have already started the season. Exotic varieties are becoming increasingly popular, according to ice cream parlor operators.

The award-winning "Valle dei Templi" variant, a specialty made from almond milk and pistachio cream, is particularly popular at “Cristallino’s” “pretzel ice cream” for the Oktoberfest is also on offer at the parlor Karlotti in Bad T Ölz. The ice cream costs the same to take away as it does at the table at the Garda parlor on Marktstrasse, in the region's sweltering summer heat.. The long-running favorite remains the “Bad TöLz” variety, an in-house creation with Amarena cherries, brittle and many other ingredients that is said to taste “crunchy, creamy and pleasant”. The “Garda” parlor has existed since 1981 and is now the oldest ice cream shop in the area.
