A new Palestinian government including Gazans, four women and U.S. graduates was sworn in Sunday evening in Ramallah.

The government's priority will be to work to “reunify the institutions, including by assuming responsibility for Gaza,” Mohammed Mustafa declared Thursday in a letter outlining his roadmap. The head of government, also Minister of Foreign Affairs, insisted on the "reconstruction” of the Palestinian Territories, mainly the Gaza Strip, devastated by the war. The Islamist movement Hamas, rival of Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah, seized power in this territory in 2007.
