Nine people have been arrested in Valencia, Cantabria and Valladolid. They defrauded 32 people, all clients of prostitution websites or payment contacts.
One of the extorted people even paid the network up to 12,000 euros, after being threatened with beatings and death. Those arrested did not hesitate to leave anyone who refused to pay for dead, the Civil Guard said. The detainees are accused of extortion, threats, fraud, identity theft, money laundering and membership in a criminal organization.
