French government unveils action plan to limit use of PFAS substances. Defends European approach but promises new restrictions on discharges into environment.
Plan relies on the scientific analysis power of the European Chemicals Agency. A “national exploratory campaign for PFAS in water intended for human consumption” is also announced. The plan also plans to “accelerate the production of toxicological reference values” and the “setting of emission limit values (ELV)”
