“Farmers are the whistleblowers of Europe's self-imposed decline”. The anger of farmers has highlighted the impasses of the ecological transition model promoted by the European Commission.
The Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, announced some measures aimed at compensating farmers in difficulty more quickly and reforming grotesque rules on hedges or cleaning canals. But it is not by throwing them a few notes that we will calm the peasants' revolt. French farmers (like their Dutch and German colleagues) are in fact the whistleblower of a decline that Mrs von der Leyen's Europe is imposing on them, without real justification.
