The foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Slovenia recall the importance of this organization. The accession of our countries to NATO took place in the context of profound transformation of the Euro-Atlantic security architecture after the Cold War.

Russia's decision and action on the dawn of February 24, 2022 to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine shattered Europe's current security architecture. NATO responded to Russia's military aggression with the immediate decision to strengthen the deterrence posture which reconfirmed the unwavering commitment to collective defense under Article 5.
