Ceta and Mercosur have little to do with each other. Both aim to reduce customs barriers and increase trade for the benefit of all signatory countries.

With Ceta, implemented on a transitional basis, our exports to Canada have increased by a third in five years, and even by 72% for our dairy products. France and the Europeans owe these results to their know-how, their competitiveness, the implementation of balanced health and environmental rules, but also to mirror measures, which allow our farmers and our companies to fight against on equal terms.
