The trigger is the federal government's plans to cancel tax relief for agricultural diesel. The day before (February 14th), the Greens had to cancel their political Ash Wednesday in Biberach, Baden-Württhemberg, due to violent protests. Green Party member Jürgen Trittin also blamed Markus Söder for the escalation of the political discourse.
