A 17-year-old attacker allegedly injured several classmates with a knife. Several students were injured at the Wilhelm-Dörpfeld-Gymnasium in Wuppertal-Elberfeld.

The suspect - apparently a student at the institution - was arrested, the police announced. The crime happened in the middle of ongoing school operations. At least two students were seriously injured in the knife attack, said North Rhine-Westphalia's Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) in the Interior Committee of the Düsseldorf parliament.
