A folk festival evening in Dachau completely escalated in August 2022. The result: Slightly injured police officers and four handcuffed men.

This evening now had an aftermath in court. Three defendants and six witnesses - four of them police officers - were supposed to describe what had happened on the day. It all started when one of the Olching friends - all noticeably drunk - took his glass of wheat beer out of the tent, which the security service did not allow. The security service describes the friends that evening as follows: “They were looking for trouble.” There was an argument, pushing, and a punch. “We didn’t do anything,” asserted one ofthe friends in the dock. One 23-year-old in particular fought hard against it. He kicked around and insulted a policewoman “in the worst possible way” as the public prosecutor put it. In the end, four police officers had to carry the man to the patrol car because he kept resisting.
