Rupert Weingartner died unexpectedly on Saturday at the age of 79. He was chairman of the Friends of the Pilgrimage Church in Hohenpeißenberg.
He also founded the company “Industrie- und Tankanlagen Führer & Weedartner” He was a devout Christian and a member of the parish council of the “Resurrection of the Lord’s” parish for 18 years. He received the Medal of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2016 for his services to the church and the community.. Despite his numerous activities, he was always a man who was always there for his wife, Christa, and his son Andreas, who works in the management of his father's company, says Andreas WeingARTner.. He always had forms with him to cope with tasks, as the association's obituary states: "Under his active leadership, the Chapel of Grace and the organ were renovated and a new bells were procured"
