Former US President Donald Trump publicly defended the judge in charge of his misuse of secret documents case. Trump was commenting on an ongoing dispute between special counsel Jack Smith and U.S.
District Judge Aileen M. Cannon. The special counsel's filing urges Cannon to quickly decide whether the Presidential Records Act will allow Trump to retain highly classified documents after he leaves the White House. Trump is charged with 32 counts of violating the Espionage Act related to secret documents he allegedly stored at Mar-a-Lago.
