In France, around 1.2% of students become parents during their studies, according to a study by the Observatory of Student Life (OVE) The university still has a way to go to adapt to the path of young parents, says Aiden Gaide, lecturer in sociology at University of Tours. The pace of change is all the more difficult as there are not always planned measures by universities to cope with full-time parents.
Several studies have been carried out on the issue, with the results expected in 2020.
