The departments of Yonne and Saône-et-Loire remained on red alert Tuesday evening in the face of exceptional river levels. The inhabitants of the Autun region, as far as Gueugnon and then Digoin have cruelly experienced this with the flooding of the Arroux.
“Never before have I seen so much water in the area,” explains Marie-Jeanne, 77, from Autun. So much water that the Saulieu road had to be closed to traffic Monday morning, on the campsite side.
