Merel Chiasson, a Canadian used to playing the lottery, left a winning ticket worth 64 million Canadian dollars (more than 41 million euros) sleeping on his nightstand. After 19 days, his ticket was no longer valid.

Nearly a year later and a few days before the winning ticket expires, the Atlantic Loto is stepping up initiatives to find the big winner. A town crier was even dispatched for the occasion to Gloucester County, in eastern Canada. The ticket will expire on April 15 if no winner comes forward.
