A police officer was seriously injured in Noisiel, Seine-et-Marne, after being hit by a scooter, after its driver refused to comply. When the municipal police asked the driver to stop, he fled, reports Jean-Baptiste Bladier, public prosecutor of Meaux.

When a police officer gets out of his car to try to stop him, the driver deliberately drives towards him, before hitting a police car and another parked vehicle. The police officer who had a fracture in both legs, was immediately transported to hospital. He was operated on Thursday at Meaux hospital. An investigation was opened for attempted intentional homicide, reports the prosecutor. The driver of the scooter would be a young man aged 18 and would be unknown to the police, confirms the public prosecutor. According to information from the mayor, he was driving without a license, and allegedly replied: "I was afraid that you would take my scooter because I don’t have a license"
