[HIGHLIGHTS] “It’s fluid”: five months before the Paris Olympics, the Place de la Concorde construction site is launching without a hitch

Work on the Place de la Concorde began a week ago with the protection, in particular, of the candelabra. It will host the 3 x 3 basketball, BMX Freestyle, breaking and skateboarding events during the Paris Olympic Games.

For the time being, the scope of the work remains concentrated on the eastern part of the square. Tourists continue to walk to the Tuileries garden via a passageway along the easternPart of the Square. The square is closed to traffic from June 1st.
