Pierre Hurmic, mayor of Bordeaux, warns of a “worrying’ increase in delinquency in major cities in France. Violence against people has “significantly increased” in the Bordeux metropolitan area in 2023.
Hurmic: “I am naturally very concerned about this phenomenon. I note that it is closely linked to drug trafficking, the fight against which is a responsibility of the State’” Hurmic has been president of the French Urban Security Forum since October 2022.
