The Lindauer Inn in Schongau is one of the oldest in the old town. The tenant is said to have disappeared from the inn with all his sack and luggage - and left behind a mountain of debts.
Even guests who still have a voucher for a visit to the restaurant are angry because they are now left empty-handed.
