Provence's almond tree is making a comeback. A thousand hectares planted and a record harvest last year.

Production tripled in less than ten years. Almonds are considered a fruit good for health, and for short circuits. The almond tree takes four to five years to produce and seven to eight years to be at full yield. There is a real demand for the French almond, says Fabien Dauphin, producer in Cucuron (Vaucluse) and president of the union of almond producers.
