“Let your head be blown clear”: the highest city in Hesse is in the Vogelsberg district. At 614 meters, the Schlossberg with the castle ruins is the highest point in the town and offers a good view of the surrounding area.
On a clear day you can look north to the Knüllgebirge and west towards Grünberg. In the south you can see the Wetterau, the Taunus and the Spessart and to the east towards Hünfeld and Fulda.
