Argentine President Javier Milei met with Elon Musk in the billionaire's Tesla factory in Texas, in the southern United States. The two men agreed to “soon organize a major event in Argentina to promote the ideas of freedom,” according to the Argentine presidency.
Elon Musk bought Twitter at the end of 2022 with the stated objective of “liberating” the platform. He regularly displays his political opinions, which are largely pro-Republican, and has spoken, in public or private, with numerous right-wing or far-right political figures, such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The president inflicts on his country's economy a shock of austerity which he himself describes as the “largest budgetary adjustment in the history of Argentina, of humanity” The president floods social networks with messages and memes, in non-stop communication, between platform, venting and logbook, which recalls that of Donald Trump in his time or even that of Elon Musk.
