A research team from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology measured the speed of stars in the Milkyway. The result showed that the galaxy apparently has a lighter core than previously thought. The center of our galaxy could be less dense and contain less dark matter than expected. In further research, the team wants to find answers to the questions the study raised.
