The Freising tenants' association is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Mayor Tobias Eschenbacher praised one characteristic of the club members: “It's your persistence” The association has never let up over the term of office of two mayors.

The association was founded on October 7, 1974 by Alois Eberhard in the Lindenkeller in the cathedral city of Freising. The first consultations were held in Alois' living room until the association was allowed to use the caretaker's room at the secondary school in the Asam building. It was only in 1985, eleven years after it was founded, that the tenants' Association was able to move to its home at Gartenstrasse 9.
