Francois-Xavier Bellamy is the head of the Republican to European list (LR) In an offensive speech, he sought to reestablish the right-left divide in the party. The right is credited with 7% to 8% according to the polls.
Bellamy, who had gathered 8.2% of the votes five years ago, fear of falling below the 5% mark and of not sending any MEP to Brussels and Strasbourg, which would be a first. The challenge is clearly to save the furniture for LR which has injected new blood.
