Israeli special forces carried out a dazzling raid in the heart of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip, and freed two hostages held by Hamas. The operation had been planned for a long time and had been considered on several occasions, but “the conditions were not met until now to carry it out,” declared IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari.

The raid was carried out simultaneously by the Israeli army, police and secret services, supported by air support. At least 52 Palestinians died in these strikes, according to Hamas.
