La Léchère is the working cradle of Savoie. The industrial area of La LÉchère, which hired up to 1,500 people in three factories for just over 2,000 inhabitants, has largely lost its splendor.

There are only 250 workers here, employed by the Japanese company Tokai Cobex, which specializes in the manufacture of artificial carbon and graphite. In recent weeks, a glimmer of hope has appeared for the old ovens at Château-Feuillet, one of the production sites.
