The Humplbräu in Wolfratshausen's old town has been running for 400 years. The Fagner family is now running the traditional inn in the fourth generation.

Since January 1st, the old VAT rate of 19 percent has applied again to the catering industry. Many restaurateurs were forced to increase prices by up to ten percent. “Many people can no longer afford to eat out,” says the Humpl Bräu boss with understanding. The HumplBräu team is now meeting the challenges with menu Saturdays with table reservations, each with a specific motto. The new concept benefits quality, especially since the Fagners rely on regional products - some from their own farm. It is difficult to estimate how many guests come to the inn for lunch or dinner. ‘In addition, it is almost impossible to keep the full à la carte offering available,’ says chef Benedikt Faggner. In April, the inn takes its guests on a culinary journey around the globe.
