'Eco-crime' convicts to get seized assets back. Three businessmen convicted of felonies regarding waste management, brothers Giovanni, Cuono and Salvatore Pellini, have successfully appealed to the supreme Court of Cassation.
The siblings have been definitively convicted for illegal wastetrafficking. They are blamed for pollution in the area of Acerra, a town close to Naples in Campania's so-called 'Land of Fires', where criminal organizations have dumped and burned trash for decades.
