Boat departed from Sfax, Tunisia, late on Thursday and the survivors said they paid 1,000 euros each for the crossing. The boat capsized in Malta's search-and-rescue zone. The Italian Coast Guard took the rescued migrants to Lampedusa. At the time of writing, there had been 14 landings of migrant groups on Italy's southernmost island on Saturday since midnight.
