Paige Ruddy, 19, died from a cerebral hemorrhage caused by smoke inhalation. Her grandparents' house in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, was on fire at 4 a.m.
The fire brigade had to smash a window to free them from the burning building. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated, but the police believe that there is no fault on the part of others. The family didn't think there were any working smoke detectors in the house and asked others to double-check their own homes.
